Done and dusted! (English below)
Die eerste Afstof-geleentheid in Mtunzini was 'n dawerende sukses, danksy die dorp se talent, die beginners, stowweriges en verroestes se dapperheid en die entoesiasme van die handpalm-afstoffers. Daar was van volksliedjies tot concertos tot moderne treffers op die klavier, mondfluitjie, blokfluit, kitaar en selfs tuisgemaakte slaginstrimente. Die elektrisiteitsverskaffer het ook saamgespeel en vir atmosferiese beligting gesorg. Op 'n stadium het die buurvrou kom klop om te hoor of dit 'n CD is wat speel!
Dit was werklik spesiaal om te sien hoe lekker mense saam kan sing en musiekmaak, selfs lank nadat die voorbereide items weggedawer het.
Baie dankie aan Annemarie-hulle wat hulle huis beskikbaar gestel het en aan al ons musikante, gehoorlede en saamsingers!

Done and dusted!
The first Dust-off Occasion in Mtunzini was a roaring success thanks to the talent of the town and the courage of the beggers, the rusty and the dusty. We had from folk songs to concertos to modern hits on the piano, harmonica, recorder, guitar and even home-made percussion. The electrical supplier also joined in with some mood-lighting. At one stage a neighbour came knocking to ask if a CD was playing!
It was truly special to see how wonderful it can me to sing and make music together, even long after the notes of the prepared items had died away.
A big thank you to Annemarie and family for opening their house to us and to all our musicians, singalongers and the audience!
